As a Database Engineer in the Database
Management Services team, you play a key role in building,
automating, and maintaining modern cloud-based data
platforms. You’ll focus on infrastructure automation,
observability, and scalable database services across Oracle Cloud
and Azure environments.
This is a hands-on
engineering role where you’ll develop and improve
automation pipelines and collaborate closely with senior engineers
and application teams. You’ll bring curiosity, initiative, and a
passion for continuous improvement in everything you
do.
This is how you will
reinvent food
retail.
- You will
drive and contribute to the automation of cloud infrastructure
provisioning, configuration management,
self-service, Infrastructure-as-Code services, and DevOps
deployment, while continuously improving infrastructure
architecture, development, and
deployment processes. - You will
Implement security baselines and standards for resources
including network access, restriction of internet-facing resource
provision and configuration within the Azure and Oracle Cloud
environment - You will work with and
support application teams in their digital transformation
goals. - You will create observability
strategies with a focus on self-healing
mechanisms.
This role is part
of on-call rotation, ensuring the availability and stability
outside regular working
hours.

Product Owner and Database Engineers you will work on inspiring
projects to accelerate our transition into a hybrid Food & Tech

The
recipe for maximum
impact:
- Hands-on
experience (At least 3 years of relevant
experience) - Writing
and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible,
etc.). - Scripting for automation (Shell,
Python, or PowerShell). - Cloud
environments (Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud
Infrastructure (OCI) – Azure certifications is a
plus). - CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
Actions or similar tools. - Monitoring and
observability platforms (using SaaS-based tools such as Prometheus
and Oracle Enterprise Manager, alongside an in-house observability
platform powered by Grafana’s LGTM
stack). - Experience as an Oracle Database
Administrator (DBA), managing and optimizing database performance
and reliability. - Proven ability to
implement secure and highly available infrastructure
services. - Experience in advancing and
continuously improving DevOps automation and practices to ensure
applications remain easy to deploy, monitor, and
scale. - Experience in knowledge sharing
and/or mentoring
others.
Nice to
have:
- Experience
with additional database technologies (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server,
Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Oracle
Cloud database migrations. - Oracle Cloud
Exadata CS setup and automation. - Advise
application teams on performance
optimization. - Advise application teams
using various OCI resources and
services. - Proven experience
in using Oracle Cloud security tools such as Oracle Cloud Guard,
Oracle Data Safe and Azure security tools such as Azure Security
Center, Azure Key Vault, and Azure
Policies.
