ppAs a Frontend Engineer, you will help advance Albert Heijn’s technology landscape into a modern, cutting‑edge environment. /p pYou will join the Promotions area of our Retail Business Platform execution cluster, working with teams responsible for creating sales promotions and campaigns that benefit Albert Heijn consumers, while ensuring 24/7 uptime on mission‑critical environments. /p pbThis is how you will reinvent food retail. /b /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liHelp advance our current technology landscape by contributing to technical architecture, standards, and guidelines. /li liDevelop technical solutions in a modern, innovative technology foundation to scale our core business. /li liDevelop proofs of concept, write code, implement and run automated tests, ensure security and code quality, and develop best practices. /li liShare your expertise and contribute to initiatives within your product cluster and the broader Albert Heijn retail technology platform. /li liBe a valued team member who contributes and removes obstacles. /li liShare technical and process‑improvement ideas with colleagues in your team. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liOverall 6‑10 years of front‑end engineering experience. /li liAt least 4‑6 years of front‑end engineering experience with deep hands‑on experience using React.js and an understanding of its core concepts, ecosystem, best practices, and patterns. /li liFamiliarity with integrating and utilizing React Query for efficient and optimized data fetching and state management in React applications. /li liKnowledge of Storybook for developing UI components in isolation, promoting a modular and systematic approach to frontend development. /li liStrong proficiency in UI/UX principles and a keen eye for design aesthetics, able to translate them into CSS/CSS‑in‑JS solutions. /li /ul h3Bonus Points /h3 ul liExperience using Recharts or a similar library for data visualization. /li liKnowledge of frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library, and the ability to write unit tests for React components. /li liExperience with Swagger. /li liExperience consuming third‑party APIs. /li liExperience with relational databases and knowledge of basic SQL. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liAnnual salary up to €80,000, including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus. /li li45 days of paid leave (25.5 regular vacation days and 19.5 ADV days). /li liFlexible working hours. /li liAccess to a challenging training curriculum – AH Tech Academy. /li liExcellent pension plan with an employer contribution of 4.5 times the employee contribution. /li liTravel allowance or a N S‑business card for traveling to and from Zaandam by train. /li liAttractive discounts on various insurance policies. /li li10 % staff discount on groceries in all Albert Heijn stores, capped at €300 per year. /li liA free Mijn Albert Heijn Premium membership with many benefits. /li liA company laptop and telephone. /li /ul pA technical assessment will be part of the selection process. /p pPlease note that Dutch is not required for this role. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
