As a data platform engineer, you will beworking on our data platform named Thor and User Access Managementsolution. We are building a self-service data platform with the aimthat the platform team is not the bottleneck for development. Thismeans that we are working hard to enable other data engineers to doas much themself whereas we work on improving and optimizing ourpipelines andcodebase.
A few cool new features we have recentlyimplemented:
– The enablement of streaming datasets
– Custom build User Access Managementwith fully API based backend
– Documentation that writesitself

Essential ExperienceRequired
- Databricks: DataEngineer Associate Certification (level of expertise orcertificationitself)
- Terraform:Associate Certificationlevel
- Kafka
- Python/Pyspark skills.(The ability to build a highly performant, simple and clearlystructured python package that will be used inproduction)
- In depth Azureknowledge (data engineer modules we use arebelow):
- Eventhub/streaming
- Storage
- Loganalytics

- Devops:specifically to bridge gap between development andIT:
- Lean softwaredevelopment

Responsibilities
- Append to ourdata platform to take it to the next level with regards to dataprocessing,quality
- Provide aplatform that allows structuring of data into a scalable and easilyunderstoodarchitecture
- Work in amulti-disciplined team where you’ll build a platform that will beused by your data engineer peers to create beautiful businesssolutions that create customer valuedrivers
- Be able toimplement/build methodologies as well as (understand how to) scalethem together with thebusinesses
- Maintain a good,current and demonstrable knowledge of adjacent application andmarket developments both for inspiration and for benchmarking theconcepts
Qualifications
- 5+ yearsindustrial experience in the domain of large-scale data platformteams (building a dataproduct)
- Hands-onsoftware engineering experience, incl. solid programming experiencein data ingestions patterns(streaming)
- Curious,proactive, fast learner able to quickly picking-up newareas
- Experience withagilemethodologies
- Perfectcommunicationskills
