WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROJECT ENGINEER TO LEAD OUR TURBOCHARGER DEVELOPMENT TEAM,
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Lead Project Engineer R&D and Motorsport, you will be responsible for the design & development of high end automotive, aviation and motorsport turbo systems. You will be leading a team of design and application engineers where based on customer, supplier and internal inputs you will manage the design, development timing, validation and quality of the project.
The applications you will be working with range from high-end luxury and sportscars, motorsport, Formula 1 development, Formula 2, GT3 and LMDh, high power marine diesels, General aviation engines to future technology predevelopment engines.
Responsibilities and tasks are:
- Manage R&D and motorsport team and projects
- Lead APQP project team in development phase
- Translating customer requirements to specification
- Creating and securing technical and test specifications of projects
- Synchronizing supplier and customer requirements
- Supporting sales creating new business with new customers and markets
- Development of new technologies
- Design for manufacture & assembly
- Investigate & determine solutions to service & engineering warranty issues as they arise
- Supporting quality process improvement
- Creating D-FMEA
- Support quality engineering with P-FMEA
- Give input in APQP project meetings

Communication:
You will work together with design and production engineering, sales and purchasing. Liaise together with purchasing, suppliers, sub-contractors & customers. The English language (Minimum C1 level) is required to communicate internally, with suppliers and customers. Speaking the Dutch language is preferred.
Experience and education:
- You will be qualified to Engineers, Ba / BEng Mechanical/Automotive/Aeronautical Engineering.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years project engineering experience, ideally within an automotive, or aviation environment. Experience with APQP, ISO/TS16949 or AS9100 is preferred.
- Occasional visits to client and supplier sites will be required, a full driving license is necessary.`
