We are looking for an all-round infrastructure engineer with knowledge of several domains: SRE, Release Engineering & Observability. You will closely collaborate with 2 different departments to help build our infrastructure for our retail media platform. Retail media is hot, and we are building a platform to facilitate all the brands of Ahold in Europe with a complete retail media suite to do their business. A high traffic environment, working as a SAAS solution, in the end used by around 15 different brands. Will you help us? 

Our Engineering Enablement Department has a purpose to accelerate our teams worldwide. We strive to provide teams with a set of tools and services to enable them to unlock their full potential. In short, we enable them to deliver quality customer value quickly and autonomously. The tools and services we provide are built with and for our engineering community. In this role you would be joining a collaboration between our Engineering Enablement department and our Ad-tech cluster who is developing the retail media platform.

From functional perspective you would be working with Ad-tech and from technical perspective you will get guidance from our Engineering Enablement Platform (EEP).

Your new role:

You will collaborate with development teams to design, maintain Terraform templates for provisioning infrastructure resources and implementing deployment pipelines and strategies for our ads-platform. Furthermore you will:

• Implement and maintain automated processes for build, test, and deployment of applications.

• Coordinate with system administrators to ensure effective backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place.

• Design and implement automation workflows using Git Actions to streamline our development processes.

• Designing and implementing HA infrastructure on Azure platform.

• Building and managing CI/CD pipelines for our applications on Azure DevOps.

• Collaborate with software developers to design and implement database changes related to application development.

• Optimize database performance by monitoring efficiency and recommending performance improvements.

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems across multiple servers.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure automation, IaC, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

  • At least 6 years of experience in the fields of: SRE, Observability, Platform Engineer and a broad knowledge of infrastructure.
  • Experience with: Azure, DevOps way of work, ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible and databricks.
  • Experience in Cloud (Azure preferred, but we will get you up to speed if you have AWS/Google experience);  
  • Know your way around with CI/CD, including monitoring applications and release engineering automation (fyi, we use Azure Devops and Github Actions)  
  • Experience with the DevOps way of work: you build it, you run it!
  • Outstanding communication in English.

  • An annual salary up to 95K including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus. Depending on your level of seniority and experience;
