The culture of the company can be described as international, specialized, unique, ambitious and passionate. For the expansion of our Engineering team, we are looking for a Design Engineer. Key Responsibilities As a Design Engineer , you will be based in Zaandam, where machines and components are designed and assembled, giving you the opportunity to evaluate different designs in person every day. You will collaborate with engineers from various CPM locations globally to develop our machinery. In this fast-paced setting, you will often juggle multiple projects at once. You will be working alongside a team of dedicated and passionate colleagues, all with a love for technology. Your other responsibilities will include: Designing and improving both new and existing CPM machines and components, from concept to completion. Managing designs within PDM (Autodesk Vault Pro) and ERP (SAP B1) systems. Collaborating with the Technical Group (Innovation, Engineering, Technical Services, and Sales) on market trends and opportunities for product innovation and enhancement. Providing support to the Assembly and Service teams in solving complex technical challenges, both during assembly in Zaandam and in the field. Job Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design & Innovation. Ideally, several years of experience designing machine parts and assemblies in 3D (Autodesk Inventor Pro). (Recent graduates may also be considered for a Junior role). Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective solutions. Ability to assess structural machine issues and recommend improvements. Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Fluent communication in both English and Dutch; knowledge of German is an advantage. Must already reside in the Netherlands, ideally within 30 km of Zaandam. Why work for us? This is a varied technical role with strong benefits, aligned with the CAO Metalektro.
